The Realm of David Russell Gaines

Slitting of the sheep's throat

In approximately two seconds, Sylvester was halfway through its neck. Barbara held the bowl to catch the spilling blood. And just like that, well, that's when the fun began.

It took a minute to clip the nerve to get the body to quit twitching. Though the animal was definitely dead, it's muscles kept reflexing. You can see its air thingy contracting trying to get air. To no avail of course.

Sylvester literally reached into the neck and found the main nerve and clipped it. I guess it's easier to move the carcass to the chopping block when it's not kicking and moving.

They asked me if I wanted to do the honors. My reply: "Hell no!"
