Who Are You, Really?
I've always been interested in the origins of words. A while ago I learned that David meant "The Beloeved" in Hebrew. So, I looked up the meanings of my friends' names and this is what I found.
This list is in alphabetical order, and if I didn't put the meanings of last names (or first names), it's because I couldn't find it.

HUDA means "Right Guidance" in Arabic. ADEN, a variant of AIDAN, which is the anglicized form of AODHÁ, which is the pet form of AODH which, finally, is from the old Irish name ÁED which means "Fire." This was a very popular name in early Ireland, being borne by numerous figures in Irish mythology and several high kings.

Danny is the pet form os DANIEL, which is from the Hebrew name Daniyel meaning "God is my judge." Daniel was a Hebrew prophet whose story is told in the Book of Daniel in the Old Testament. He lived during the Jewish captivity in Babylon, where he served in the court of the king, rising to prominence by interpreting the king's dreams. The book also presents Daniel's four visions of the end of the world.
